Yamuna Samvad
Yamuna Samvad - Before
The Yamuna riverside was heavily polluted, with plastic bags, bottles, and waste materials scattered across the riverbank. The foul smell, stagnant waste, and unhygienic surroundings were not only damaging the river ecosystem but also posing serious risks to public health. Local communities had almost accepted this polluted state as normal, and the river was losing its natural beauty and life.
Yamuna Samvada - After
Through the Yamuna Samvada initiative, volunteers united for a major cleanup drive — removing plastic, segregating waste, and restoring the riverbank. Awareness activities encouraged communities to reduce plastic use and protect the river. Today, the area is cleaner, greener, and moving towards a plastic-free Yamuna.
